Polako nam se bliži Božić, još malo i samo što nije tu. Gradski trgovi su prekrasno uređeni, svugdje oko nas blještavilo i raskoš. Sviraju svima znane božićne pjesme… ali imam osjećaj da je ove godine blagdansko raspoloženje među ljudima malo drugačije, čini mi se da nikad do sada Božić nismo “tiše” dočekivali.

Slowly, Christmas is arriving, only few more days and it is here. City squares are beautifully decorated; glitter and holiday atmosphere are all around us. We can hear well-known Christmas songs … but somehow I have a feeling that this year the festive mood among people is little bit different than it used to be before, it seems to me that never before did we welcome Christmas more “quietly“.

Atmosfera nije onako vesela i  topla kao što je bila svih ovih dosadašnjih godina. Na tren sam se upitala gdje je nestao onaj “pravi” Božić?  Vjerujem da i vi dijelite mišljenje sa mnom, ali nećemo dopustiti lošim stvarima da pokvare ugođaj i onu pravu istinsku vrijednost Božića. Vjerujem da ste već obavili kupovinu poklona, okitili kuću, ispekli kolače… i pripremili se za ovaj najljepši dan u godini.

The atmosphere isn’t as cheerful and warm as it was all these past years. For a moment I asked myself where was „real“ Christmas lost? I believe that you share my opinion, but let’s not allow bad things to ruin this holiday atmosphere and true value of Christmas. I believe that you have already bought gifts, decorated your house, baked some cakes … and are prepared to welcome the most beautiful day of the year.

I u mom domu sve je spremno za Božić, svi zajedno smo okitili naš dom i napravili jedan topao i svečan ugođaj. Djeca se najviše vesele šarenim i lijepo umotanim poklonima ispod bora a mi odrasli zajedničkim i lijepim trenucima koje ćemo provesti u toplini svog doma sa našom obitelji, bakama i djedovima te dragim prijateljima.

In my home, everything is ready for celebrating Christmas, all together; we decorated our Christmas tree and created a warm and festive atmosphere. Children are looking forward to unwrapping colorful and beautifully wrapped gifts under the tree and we grownups to the beautiful moments of togetherness we are about to spend in the warmth of our home, with our families, grandparents, friends.

Ovo je vrijeme radosti, iščekivanja i mira stoga potrudimo se da bude radostan i ispunjen iskrenom ljubavlju jednih prema drugima, našim bližnjima i prema potrebitima. Pokažite emocije ljudima oko sebe, to je ono najvrednije što im u ovom trenutku  možete dati.

Christmas is a time of joy, anticipation, and peace; therefore let us all make an effort to be happy and filled with genuine love for each other, our neighbors and the people that need our help. Show your emotions to people around you, that’s the most precious thing to give them in this very moment.

Pokazujući drugima emocije, dajemo im sebe i ni  jedan poklon bez obzira na materijalnu vrijednosti ne može zamijeniti trenutke koje ćete provesti s nekim i pritom mu pokloniti osmijeh ili toplu riječ. Vrijeme uoči Božića je vrijeme koje poklanjamo samo obitelji, dragim prijateljima i svim najmilijima koji nas okružuju. Zato, budimo nesebični darivatelji samo onog “dobrog” i ne očekujmo ništa zauzvrat, to bi trebala biti prava poruka i smisao Božića.

By revealing our true feelings and emotions to other people, we give them a small part of ourselves and no other gift; regardless of its price cannot replace the time you spend with someone you care about nor with a smile or a warm word. Time before Christmas is the time to devote ourselves to our families, friends and loved ones. So let us be unselfish, and let us give only the “good things” and not expect anything in return, after all that should be the true message and meaning of Christmas.

Pošto je Božić i Nova godina vrijeme darivanja odlučila sam nekome od vas pokloniti dvije vrlo lijepe i vrijedne knjige te još jednu nagradu koja će za sad biti iznenađenje. Knjige će koristiti svim ljubiteljima decoupagea i pittorico tehnike a znam da ih među vama ima jako puno.

Since Christmas and New Year are times of giving, I decided to give to one of you, as a Christmas present, two very beautiful and valuable books, and one other reward, that I will yet not reveal. Books will be useful to all the lovers of decoupage and pittorico techniques and I know that there are a lot of you who will find it interesting to read them.

To je period kada duboko promišljamo o svojim postupcima, o svemu dobro i lošem što nam se dogodilo u godini koja je iza nas.
