Kako se bliži Božić tako i mi razmišljamo o dekoracijama kojima ćemo ukrasiti naš dom. Božićni vijenci su obično najvažnija stvar na popisu stvarčica koje moramo kupiti, osim jelke i naravno darova.

As Christmas is getting closer and closer we begin thinking about how to decorate our home. Christmas wreaths are usually most important things on the list of items that we must buy, beside Christmas tree and the inevitable christmas presents.

Kod božićnih vijenaca prednost je to što ih možemo objesiti na vrata, prozor ili čak zid. Njihova tradicija datira iz 17.stoljeća. Obješen na ulazna vrata vašeg doma simbolizira i slavi rođenje Krista.

The advantage of Christmas wreaths is that we can hang them inside or outside of our doors, on our windows or even walls. Their tradition is dating from 17th century. Hung on the front door of  your home they  symbolize and celebrate the birth of Christ.

Možete kupiti plastične ukrase od voća ili male crvene jabuke, zalijepiti ih vrućim ljepilom na grane od jele ili bora i uživat ćete u pogledu na svoj ručno rađeni vijenac. Ne zaboravite još dodati svilenu ukrasnu traku koje ćete prije svezati u mašnu i pričvrstiti na vaš božićni vijenac.

You can buy plastic decorations like fruit or small red apples, stick them with hot glue on the branches of fir or pine and enjoy looking at your handmade wreath. Do not forget to add decorative silk strip which you will previously tie in a ribbon and attach it to your Christmas wreath.

Okrenite se malo oko sebe, vjerujem da u vašem vrtu ili neposrednoj blizini rastu biljke i ukrasi koji samo čekaju da od njih napravite lijepu božićnu priču za svoj dom. Pritom pazite da u izradi ne koristite zaštićene vrste, jedino ako one baš ne rastu u vašem vrtu. Uživajte, smišljajte i već sada planirajte izradu ili kupovinu božićnih ukrasa za vaš dom i na taj način poštedite sebe i svoje ukućane gužve po trgovačkim centrima koja će još malo početi.Uživajte u ovim šarenim i lijepim božićnim vijencima, možda baš jedan od njih bude i vaš odabir kojim ćete uljepšati vrata, zid ili prozor vašeg doma.

Turn around yourself, I believe that in your garden or near your home you can find plants and decorations waiting for you to pick them up and use them for creating your own warm Christmas story in your home. Of course, be careful not to pick a protected species, unless they grow in your garden.  Enjoy, think and plan on making or buying Christmas decorations for your home and thus spare yourself and your family members all those crowds in shopping mall that will soon begin.
